EXO (엑소) is a Korean-Chinese boyband originally comprised of 12 members and sheltered under the label BC Entertainmnet. The group is divided into two groups or sub-units namely EXO-K (Suho, Bekhyun, Chanyeol, D.O, Kai, Sehun) and EXO-M (Xiumin, Luhan, Kris, Lay, Chen, Tao). Prior to its official debut, EXO-K and EXO-M released their first prologue single "What Is Love" on January 30th, 2012. They also released their second single prologue titled "History" which was released on March 9th. EXO-K and EXO M debuted on April 9, 2012 with the song "MAMA" which is part of her first mini album, MAMA.

However, EXO-M leader Kris is not active with the group since May 15, 2014 for filing a lawsuit against his label SM Entertainment issues with his contract. While Luhan, has been inactive since October 10, 2014 on the grounds that there is a problem with his health.
On June 3, 2015, EXO released another repackage album titled Love Me Right. The album is a repackage of the previous album EXODUS which was released on 30 March. In this album there are 4 new songs and Tao did not participate in the promotion because it was experiencing problems with his health. At the end of the year, EXO re-released their second winter special album titled 'Sing For You'.
After holding a concert tour titled 'Exo'luxion' in February 2016 in 5 cities in North America, EXO will finally make a comeback in mid-2016. EXO finally officially comeback by launching its second studio album titled Ex'Act on June 9th. Just like the previous albums, the album is also released in 2 languages namely korea and mandarin. This album managed to break the record as the most albums sold in the first week, beating the album Sing For You is also printed by EXO. On August 18th, EXO released a repackage album to 3 LOTTO bartajuk. This is a repackage of previous album Ex'Act with the addition of 4 new songs, including "Lotto (Louder)" which is used as the lead track.
EXO's fourth studio album titled 'The War' was released on July 18, 2017. The album contains 9 tracks with the lead single "Ko Ko Bop". The 'The War' album scored history with pre-oder as many as 800 thousand copies beat their previous pre-order of 660 thousand copies. But unfortunately on this comeback, Lay did not participate because busy with his individual activities in China. Just like the previous albums, EXO also launched its repackage album titled 'The War: The Power of Music'.
